Peloton: noun; A cycling term that describes the main group of riders in
a race who collaborate
and work toward a common goal.
The Peloton Project is the Lance Armstrong Foundation's major
grass-roots fundraising and
outreach initiative that brings together a diverse group of dedicated
volunteers
who want to make a difference in the lives of people living with
cancer.
Comprised of cyclists, cancer survivors and volunteers, Peloton members
raise funds and
awareness in their local communitities to support LAF community
programs and research
grants.
The Lance Armstrong Foundation helps people with cancer focus on
living; we believe knowledge
is power and attitude is everything. Join us in our work to provide
the practical information
and tools they need to live strong.
The Ride of '05 has a fund-raising goal of $25,000 through the Peloton
Project and we're asking
for your help to reach that goal.
